Start at the right depth

When Deep Cleaning fits an occupied home

Deep Cleaning is the intensive starting service for an occupied home with accumulated buildup. It is meant for work that goes beyond maintaining an already-clean baseline.

Look for buildup, not a calendar rule

Darkened grout, soap residue, established kitchen grease, dusty baseboards, and neglected edges can indicate that routine maintenance is not the right first scope. Describe what you see rather than relying only on the date of the last cleaning.

Use an empty-home service when rooms are vacant

Deep Cleaning is designed for a home that is still occupied and worked around furniture and belongings. Choose Move-In Cleaning before unpacking or Move-Out Cleaning after belongings leave when the home will be empty.

Know the baseline scope

What the Signature 50-Point scope means

A published point-by-point scope

The Signature 50-Point scope organizes detailed work across the kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, bedrooms, and throughout the home. The Cleaning Checklist shows the individual points so the meaning of deep cleaning is visible before booking.

A confirmed scope still matters

The checklist defines the service, while the quote request identifies the home's condition, accessible areas, priorities, and any selected extras. Review those details before the appointment so the planned work is clear.

Optional work

Choose interior add-ons without changing the base service

Select only the interiors you want

Inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, inside cabinets and drawers, and interior window cleaning are separately selected paid add-ons. They are not folded into the Signature 50-Point scope.

Book exterior windows separately

Exterior window cleaning belongs to the standalone Window Cleaning service. Keeping it separate allows the exterior glass and access conditions to be scoped directly.

Describe the actual condition

How to support an accurate deep-cleaning estimate

Show where the buildup is concentrated

Share the home's approximate size, bedroom and bathroom count, visible condition, and the areas that concern you most. Clear photos of showers, cooking areas, baseboards, or other buildup can make the requested scope easier to understand.

Name priorities before the scope is confirmed

If one room or surface matters most, include it in the quote request. Priorities can then be considered alongside access and selected add-ons before the price is confirmed.

Prepare for the booked work

Confirm practical details before the appointment

Ask what preparation the scope requires

Preparation depends on the home and the work selected. Confirm any required access, parking, pet, fragile-item, or appliance-interior steps when the scope is booked rather than relying on a generic checklist.

Choose the next service by condition

After the deep-cleaning appointment, Standard Cleaning may fit a home that now needs maintenance. Maid Service is the separate choice when you want that maintenance organized as an ongoing relationship.

Deep Cleaning
We booked Art’s Cleaning to prepare our home for back to back Christmas parties. They promptly confirmed my on-line booking and called to go over the specifics. The morning of, they notified me when the team was on its way. The cleaning team was fantastic! They arrived on time and prepared. They worked super hard and super fast! We are a 6 person and 3 per family so they had their work cut out for them! They finished a deep clean in about 4 hours and I have never been happier on a splurge. It was so nice to have one of the big jobs of hosting taken care of. I will book them again!

Deep Cleaning questions

What's the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean — or is "deep" just a way to charge more?

Depth and time, not markup. A regular clean maintains a home already at a clean baseline. A deep clean resets one that isn't: grout lines, shower buildup, baseboards, door frames, vents, cabinet fronts, and behind reachable furniture. Art's deep clean follows a published 50-point checklist, so you can see exactly what the extra hours buy before you book.

Do I need a deep clean before starting recurring service?

Only if the home isn't at a clean baseline. If showers, grout, kitchen grease, or neglected edges have fallen behind, every maintenance visit will burn its whole window on backlog instead of upkeep. Homes already maintained can start straight on recurring. Send photos and we'll tell you which one you actually need.

How often does a house actually need a professional deep clean?

Twice a year is the working answer for most homes — spring and fall. Between those, recurring maintenance holds the line. Homes with pets, hard water, heavy cooking, or people coming in and out often need it quarterly. If you can't remember the last one, you're due.
