What is spring cleaning?

Spring Cleaning, scoped for the space and condition

A standard cleaning maintains your home. A spring cleaning transforms it. Think of it as your annual reset — we tackle the deep buildup that winter leaves behind and prepare your home for the warmer months ahead. Spring cleaning popular with homeowners in Yorba Linda, Laguna Niguel, San Clemente, and across OC.

The method depends on the material, condition, access, and result you need. We explain the recommended approach and your upfront price first.

Our process

Complete transparency — no surprises

Tell us your home's size and which neglected areas you most want addressed — the closet you've been avoiding, the windows, the behind-the-furniture dust. Spring cleaning takes longer than a standard visit, so we plan the time to do it right.

Our team works top to bottom and back to front, so dislodged dust always falls onto surfaces still to be cleaned. We hit the full seasonal list — the high spots, the low spots, and the in-between that daily life never reaches.

We walk through the refreshed home with you so you can see the difference. Many clients do a spring clean once or twice a year and keep up with recurring standard cleanings in between — the seasonal reset, then easy maintenance.

What to expect

Customer-focused from start to finish

Spring cleaning is the seasonal top-to-bottom reset — the once-or-twice-a-year clean that reaches everything routine cleaning skips. It's about hitting the neglected zones all at once: the buildup, the corners, the high and low spots, and the accumulated dust that a normal clean never gets to.

Expect detailed seasonal work: baseboards and door frames wiped, vents and fixtures dusted, accessible areas behind and under furniture reached, blinds and sills detailed, and surfaces from ceiling corners to floor edges addressed. Inside appliances, cabinet interiors, and interior windows remain optional paid add-ons.

Your home comes out feeling genuinely renewed — lighter, fresher, and reset for the season ahead. Spring cleaning is the clean that makes everything else easier afterward; once the buildup is gone, regular cleanings keep it that way. Great in spring, just as useful for any seasonal turnover.

Spring Cleaning questions

What's the difference between spring cleaning and a deep clean?

Timing and framing, mostly. The scope is the same reset: baseboards, vents, window tracks, cabinet fronts, light fixtures, behind reachable furniture, plus full kitchen and bathroom detail. "Spring cleaning" is just the twice-a-year rhythm most homes run on — one in spring, one in fall.

What belongs on a once-a-year list that regular cleaning never touches?

Window tracks and sills, vent and register covers, ceiling fan blades, light fixtures and globes, the tops of door frames and upper cabinets, baseboards throughout, and behind and under heavy furniture. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside cabinets, and interior windows are the paid add-ons people book alongside it.

Is spring actually the best time in Southern California?

Late spring works here for a different reason than in cold climates. Orange County and the Westside get May and June marine layer, which drives humidity and settles dust and pollen indoors. Cleaning after that period rather than before it means the result lasts. Fall, after the dry Santa Ana months, is the natural second one.

Should I declutter before you come?

Yes — this is the one visit where it matters most. Cleaners can't clean cabinet interiors or closet floors full of things, and won't decide what you're keeping. Clear what you want cleaned under and behind. Organization is available as a paid add-on if you'd rather hand that over too.

How long does it take and do I need to be home?

Longer than a maintenance visit — it's scoped by home size and condition, and quoted before we schedule. You don't need to be home, but being there for the first fifteen minutes to point out priority areas gets you more of what you actually wanted from it.
