The unit you were shown and the unit you receive are rarely the same thing. Places sit vacant here for weeks between tenancies, shut up tight, and in a coastal city that closed-up stretch does specific damage: marine air with nowhere to move leaves a musty edge in closets and a dull film across every hard surface. Downtown condos and Bergamot lofts do it as readily as an Ocean Park duplex.

We clean the parts of a home that become difficult to reach once furniture is in: cabinet and drawer fronts, refrigerator and oven exteriors, closet shelves and rods, medicine-cabinet exteriors and mirrors, and the tops of doors. Everything a previous tenant touched gets disinfected — switch plates, handles, taps, and the thermostat. In older Wilshire-Montana buildings we hand-clear the wood window channels, which is usually where vacancy dust has quietly settled. Inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, inside cabinets and drawers, and interior window cleaning are optional paid add-ons, selected and priced separately before the visit.

Timing matters more than anything else. The window between keys and the moving truck is often a single day, sometimes a few hours. We work that gap, weekends included, and we work it around building rules — service elevator reservations, loading windows, permit blocks. Book the clean before the movers, not after, and the unit only has to be emptied once.
